Hello,

When is the band formed?

The band was formed back in 1992 by Zagan, it started off as a pure black metal band but changed the style into more Pagan/Viking metal at least with the “Oath of a warrior” output back in 2005.  

Who came to the idea for the name of the band?

I  think it was Zagan´s idea.

How would you described the sound of the band?

Today I would describe it as Pagan/Viking Metal with lots of other metal elements (for example Thrash/Power and Black Metal) in it.

This is your fourth album, are you satisfied with the album?

As a musician you´re never really satisfied with an album, you always find little things in it which you would/could have done better, but in general we can be satisfied with it and hope also the fans are, because they are the people who count most.

Who wrote the songs?

In difference to the lyrics which are all written by Zagan, we do the music together in our rehearsal room. It´s like someone has a riff or a melody and we try to develop it into a song. At this time it was a little difficult because of the fact, that “First War Of The World” is a concept album. In the beginning you write the songs and you can put it to the story as you like to, but at least there are parts of the story to be told, so you have to create songs which fit into the story, that makes it much more difficult than doing a normal album but finally we made it and I think it all comes out well :D

What is your favorite track?

As a more folky track I like “Gullveigh” a lot, as a more heavy track I´d say “Burn Vanaheimr”.

Where will you perform live?

Actually we have a few festival dates confirmed yet, for example the biggest up to date is the “Summer Breeze 2009” in Dinkelsbühl, Germany where we already performed 2 years ago. We hope to find a lot more gigs in the European area to play also for the hordes outside of Germany, more details you´ll find on our homepage or myspace page^^

How long will this tour last?

Actually there´s no tour planned but maybe we´ll have the opportunity for that in the near future, who knows ?

What are the plans for the band after the tour?

Like I said no tour is planned we will continue writing new songs between the gigs we have to play, there are some ideas in our heads we will have to work out ;D

What would you like to say to the fans?

We all hope that you will enjoy “First war of the world” a lot and, if all runs well, we´re looking forward to meet and play for as many fans as possible !!!
